Miss Eloise Hanes Tendered Farewell Party Recently Miss Eloise Hanes, bride-elect, was honored at a farewell party given by the office personnel of the Virginia Electric and Power Companv on Friday night. Jan. 23. at the cabin of E H. Paul son. near Prospect. Approximately twenty - five guests were present and Miss Hanes was presented with a cor sage upon arrival. The group en joyed square dancing after which the honoree was presented with a gift from the employees. The luncheon will be held at 12:30 p. m., at Ixmgwood H use. Former treasurer of the Vir ginia Federation of Women's Clubs and chairman of the fede ration's resolutions committee. Mrs. Schweitzer will discuss "Sacrifice Or Chaos.'' concerning the clubwoman's part in public affairs. _ The guest speaker was born m Chicago and received m >st of her education in that city In 1923, she , married and moved to Cincinnati.
