Saturday night. 69-62. with a tie-breaking, fourth-q uirt er rally. The Virginians, paced by Jerry Adams and Joe Slayaon who scor ed 19 and 1" points, respectively, broke open the game with a 22 point scoring spree in the fuial period as Hopkins withered against the visitors' slower style of play The* victory evened Hampden Sydney's league mark at 5-5 and left Hopkins with a 3-1 record. The Shoremen, grabbed a 17-12 first-quarter lead but- the Tigers caught up midway in the second period and forged ahead 28-26 at halftime.
