Matthews' Squad Pushing1 Record To .500 Mark The Hampden-Sydney College Tigers took big strides toward a hcith in the M-D Conference tournament, and improved their sea-on record to 7 wins against 9 losses last week with victories over Randolph-Macon '74 - 7i> and Towson State Teachers Col lege '91-56'. Saturday night's win over Tow son at Death Valley was the Tig ers' fourth in a row. fifth in their last seven, and gives Coach Mat thew s squad a good 6-4 Mason Dixon Conference standing. H-S 91. Hampden-Sydney lost no time in speeding to an advantage which the visitors never could threaten.
