Black & white is available for prepared sections. Other regions use the original scan.

Select an outline label

Stories (blocks grouped under a heading): double-click, or press Read & save, to read the story beside its scan and save it. Loose blocks are not part of a story yet: double-click flips one to its scan. Wheel to zoom at the pointer. Hold and drag anywhere on the page to pan. Block text never selects or navigates. Click an outline label to inspect a block.

Raw supplied boxes. No article grouping. Column labels are debug estimates.

Hover a block to inspect its saved article attachments.

Outline key

Unattached · amber outline

Hover: blue = this block; pale blue = siblings; teal = saved headline anchor. Attachment is saved membership, not verified correctness.

OCR block · solid

Contained block · dashed

Deeper containment · dotted

Saved article group · long dash

@2.2 = column 2, block 2; #65 = source block TB65. Full details appear on hover or focus. Spanning blocks list all touched columns. The saved layout has no parent IDs or semantic block types: source “paragraph” is an OCR category. Ad/article types come from saved assembly; unknown stays unknown.

Next logical = logical section and column order. Next reading = next block in its saved article, or source order when unassigned. A differing destination is marked as a jump; neither is asserted correct.

Typography approximates saved sizes and line heights; long lines fit their boxes. Full scan and crops use Library of Congress IIIF JPEG derivatives of the source scan because browsers do not reliably render JP2. Raw blocks and scan share a camera. The reflowed logical grid keeps its own camera position.
