Virginia C. Joyce, Of Mattoax, Weds Mr. Bishop The marriage of Miss Virginia Christine Joyce, of Mattoax. daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George Dewey Joyce, to Corbie Clyde Bishop. Jr., of Amelia, son of Mr. and Mrs. C. C. Bishop, took place Saturday. Jan. 3. at 3 p. m., in Mattoax Presbvtenan Church. The Rev. D. D. Wilkinson, pastor, officiated. The bride given in marriage by her father, wore a gown of ivory satin and Chantilly lace. Her veil lell from a cap of savin and lace and she carried a bouquet of roses and gardenias. Miss Evelyn Bowlin, of Mat tonx. was her maid of honor and only attendant. Mr. Bishop was his son's best man. Ushers were Parker Kantlzer, of Mattoax, and Thomas Robertson, of Washington. D. C. After a reception at the Com munity House, the couple left for a southern wedding trip. They will make their home in Amelia.

Jr. The bride, who was unattended, wore a spice wool suit with natur al and brown accessories, and a white orchid corsage. Mrs. Harris is a graduate of Long wood College where she was a member of Sigma Pi Rho. Kap pa Delta Pi. and Beorc Bin Thorn. Mr. Harris is a giaduate of Greensville County High School and served for four years in the Tinted States Navy during World War II. Coleman and Burrell. Guests enjoyed two hours old fashioned square dancing, to con clude the evining.
