Miss Julia Rebecca Tucker, daughter of C. A. Tucker, of South Hill, became the -bride of Pfc. Howard Joseph Easter. Jr., son of Mr. and Mrs. H. J. Easter, of Amelia, Friday after noon. Jan. 2. The Rev. Raymond E. Cardwell, pastor of South Hill Methodist Church, performed the ceremony in his home. Miss LaVerne Tucker, sister of the bride, sang ‘ Because,'’ ac companied by Miss Rebecca May Easter, sister of the groom. The bride wore a gray suit, with navy accessories and a corsage of white roses. Pfc. Easter is stationed at Fort Bragg, N. C.

Miss Phyllis Morris Weds Pvt; Clements In Scottsville Home Miss Phyllis Lavern Morris, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George Morris, of Sohuyler. and Pvt. Charlie E. Clements, son of Mr. and Mrs. Charlie E. Clements, of Howardsville. were united in mar riage, Saturday. Jan. 3, in Scotts ville at the Methodist parsonage. The Rev. Jack B. Taylor, pastor of the Scottsville Methodist Church, performed the ceremony in the presence of Mr. and Mrs. Clements, parents of the groom. The bride is a member of the Scottsville High School Senior Class and will graduate in June of this year. Pvt. Clements is stationed at Port Eustis and is attending the diesel mechanics school.

John Craddocks 'Surprised' 50th Wedding Anniversary

Friends and relatives of Mr. and Mrs. John Ciaddock, of Green Bay, tendered them a sur prise party Saturday. Jan. 3, to celerbate the couple's 50th wed ding anniverasry. An evening program of fellow ship. instrumental and vocal music and refreshments served to mark the occasion. A large, white, green-and-gold trimmed anniver sary cake was placed for the cele brants to cut and share, along with punch and nuts, with then friends.
