Coach Bob Gilmer used a full squad of 12 players in easing into the .Wolverines" .15th victory, on the N A' W YMCA flooi in the tail road community. The Wolverines jumped off to a 17-10 first quartei lead, capi talizing’ on accuracy from the floor and superior rebounding'. Clyde Shelton. Krmo Newman and Eddie Thornton netted 12 field goals to lead the scoiini: m the first half as FHS drove to a 30-20 lead. Lacy Cumbey. Wady Vale and Buddy Anderson led u second live in the third period. ouLseoring Crewe 14-13. Coach Gilmer in serted the starting five midway m the final period \wm the score 4-4-33. and a fast tattoo of field goals then built up a 25-12 mar gin for the Wolverines' 15th win without defeat. The Wolverines, with only four games remaining fot a perfect season, have a tough part of the schedule coming up. Emporia, one of the stronger District 3 teams will be met at Emopria Friday night. Next Tuesday night the Wol verines face Randolph - Henrv again, this time at Charlotte C.H and on February 21. the strong Blackstone Rams come here for a game.

Joel T. Hillsman, Resident’s Brother Dies In Richmond A funeral service for Joel Tucker Hillsman. 71. of Rich mond. a brother of W. J Hills imui. of Farmville. and J. E. Hills inan. of Amelia, was held Wed nesday afternoon in Richmond. Burial took place in Forest Lawn Cemetery. Richmond. Mr. Hillsman died Monday. Feb. 9. at his home in Richmond. A son of Captain and Mrs. James H Hillsman. ne was born m Amelia. Feb. 1. 1882. He spent much of his life in Richmond He was president of George W Belk. Inc., of Smiihfield. and Foster's. Inc., at Mathews, both department stores. He was a salesman for Williams and Reed, Inc., a Richmond wholesale dry goods company, also. Besides his two* biothers, Mr. Hilsman is survived by his wife, Mrs. Mary M. Hillsman: a daugh ter. Mrs. Robert H. Coulter. Jr., of Alexandria: three other broil - ers. Rosser N. and Winston W.
