County Officials Housed in First Office Building Powhatan's first regular office building hus opened its doors be hind some now-unused gas pumps. Sheriff Floyd Simpson has re modelled a gas station on the op posite side of the road from the court souse yard, and the build ing is nqw known as Simpson building. Richardson’s Insurance com pany. which has set another first as the first full-time insurance agency in Powhatan, occupies one of the front offices. Jesse Green, district vocational agriculture supervisor, is moving into the other front spot. Other office occupants are W. Charles Cobb, a ministerial stu dent at Union Theological Seminary in Richmond, was guest speaker at Guinea church Sunday morning. He was accompanied by his wife. Mrs. David Hazlegrove was a Friday guest of her parents. Mr. and Mrs. George Perkins, of Peters burg. Mr. and M’’s. J. P Stratton were Sunday guests of Mr. and Mrs. J. E Meador. Mr. and Mrs. W. T.
