Mr and Mrs. Keener left the Spokane airport on December 7 and •vr-re scheduled to arrive back there March V However, their side trip to Am.ei. t dflay-d thtir arrival by sev eral days. * The- it aerary included a full clay of leisure at Honolulu before hop ping tr Japan. They visited inter esting places in Japan and went to Hon? Kong. Mr. Keener’s iniores- j sion ol Hong Kong was summed up I in liver words. "People, people, people." Island hopping, the couple went to 'he Philippines. Bali, and the Malayan Archipelago. Prom Singa pore. they visited Thailand and India Sightseeing in India they spent considerable time observing the religious customs and living con ditions of the Indian people. Starting back from the “bottom of the globe," they visited Pakistan, before arriving in Istanbul. Turkey. Next they saw Athens and Rome, taking side tours to interesting places in sunny Italy.

The last country they visited be fore returning to the United States was Spain, with a short visit to Portugal. In Madrid, the two trav elers were impressed with the hous ing developments underw'ay. They reported that even though the hous ing developments were very large and numerous, very few of the peo ple own their houses, but that most of the money was controlled by a few individuals. The around-the-world tour ended with a trans-Atlantic hop that left them in New York some four months after they left Washington.
