] Importance Of Proper Lighting Told At Meeting A session on how to improve lighting in the home and on the farm was held Wednesday at the Hotel Weyanoke in Farmvilb’ The meeting was sponsored by the lamp division of the General Electric Company of Richmond working with the Virginia Fanil Electrification Council Those attending the meet our were Virginia Extension Service person nel. vocational educational person nel. representatives of the power supply companies, and home eco nomics representatives from Long wood College. The group came from the 14 counties in east central Virginia. Information pres e n t e d at the meeting was based on research by General Electric. Aileeh'Paec and Joe Ditchman, who participated! in the lighting research, presented 'the information at the day-long meeting. Mrs. Ruth Jamison, chairman of the extension committee on light ing. said every person in Virginia could expect to hear a lot about lighting the rest of this year. ' There are five such meetings be ing conducted throughout Virginia, and emphasis is being placed on explaining what is needed to im prove lighting in every home To get the proper lighting facilities Mrs. Jamison said that the lectne dealers in the state must cooperate

Stoddard W. Rockwell Rites Held Saturday Funeral services for Stoddard Wil 'iam Rockwell. 7U. who died Thurs day. March 28. at McGuire Veterans Hospital at Richmond, were held Saturday afternoon at the Farmville home of his sister-in-law. Miss Mar tha Blanton. Interment was in West view Cemetery. Dr. C.
