March 28. at McGuire Veterans Hospital at Richmond, were held Saturday afternoon at the Farmville home of his sister-in-law. Miss Mar tha Blanton. Interment was in West view Cemetery. Dr. C. Lloyd Are ■ art Presbyterian pastor officiated. A Norfolk resident and retired railroad employee, he was born August 15. 1877. at Atlanta, Ga., the son of the late William and Georgia Bowne Rockwell. He was a veteran of the Spanish-American War He is survived by his wife. Mrs. Thelma Blanton Rockwell, of No' folk; a son. Stoddard W. Rockwell, Jr., of Norfolk; a grandchild; a half-sister, Mrs. Florence L a n d graff. of Tampa, Fla., and a half brother. William Baker, of Detroit. Mich.
