L A Durfee and a Farmville High School honor graduate in 1953. He will use his fellowship for further study at VPI. The fellows were selected from more than 300 applicants by a board composed of AEC education institutions, industry and ORINS representatives. AEC has designed the program primarily to alleviate the shortage of trained nuclear scientists and engineers.
