Miss Alice Sul Richardson, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George Richardson, Jr., of Bluefield. W. Va. became the bride of Henry William Hoffman. Jr., of Farm villc. Wednesday April 17. He is the son of Mrs. Walker Jordan and Mr. Henry William Hoffman. Dr C. H. Patterson, of the Westminster Presbyterian Church, performed the morning ceremony m the Richardson home in the presence of the families. Mr. Richardson gave his daugh ter in marriage. She wore an off white frock of Swiss organza fashioned with semi-fitted bodice and a bouffant ballerina length skirt She wore accessories to match tiie camellia tones of em broriery in her dress and carried

la white Bible topped with white camellias. After the ceremony the guests were entertained at a luncheon at Bluefield Country Club. The couple left for a wedding trip to Florida. For her trip, the bride wore a blue-grey wool suit with white accessories. Mrs. Hoffman graduated from Hollins College. Mr. Hoffman graduated from Hampden-Sydney College where he was a member of Sigma Chi. He did graduate work at Washington and Lee and Iowa Universities. He presently is instructor in English at Hamp den-Sydney College. The couple will live in Farm ville.

American Legion auxiliary members cast their eyes south ward Tuesday with a program centering about Central America. Mrs Lewis Newton. Pan-Ameri canism chairman, had charge of the program. She presented a question and answer program on Honduras. Miss Elena Flores, Long wood College Spanish instructor from Mexico City, was a special guest at the meeting, and answered questions about her home. Auxiliary members voted to contribute S5 to be used for agri cultural tools in Honduras. Plans for the annual poppy day. May 25, were outlined at the meeting, held at the home of Mrs. John Hickman
