Pfc Marvin Davis is spending 30 days in Amelia with his mother, Mrs. Gamayne Davis. Davis is an M P. stationed in Germany with the Army He arrived home last Tuesday. Dewitt Whittington, second place winner in the senior speech contest at Amelia High School, gave his talk on the International geophysi cal year at the Parent-Teachers association meeting Monday at the High School. O. A. Norton attended the meeting j of Virginia school superintendents m Roanoke Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. Mrs. Rucker Entertains Mrs. H. C. Rucker was hostess at a luncheon at her home in Mat toax Wednesday. Mrs J T O'Neal went to Staun ton Friday to spend the day with her daughter, Judy O'Neal, who is a student at Stuart Hall.
