On The Job
The census-takers are alive— to date. If anyone has taken a pot-shot at them, they missed.
Some folks had got the idea that the census-takers were prying into their business and that there was no use in filling out all those forms. But as these dreaded characters went about their work and proved harmless, most people have lost their fear of 'em.
So far, only one complaint has been registered against the census-takers. They are too indr strious. They arrive too early in the morning and insist upon filling out entirely too many blanks.
