Aerial phdtos were taken of 52" farms in the area served by this newspaper and one picture will be published each week, along with an Invitation to readers to “guess whose farm.”s The pictures were ■ taken by the Zekan-Robbins Company of Aarlan, jowa, specialists in this kind of low-altitude farm photography, and this newspaper • arranged to have the photos snapped in different parts of the are* so that every farmer has an equal chance of having his farm picture ■?published. ‘j, V.;

Recognizing a e i»i a 1 photos is? tricky business* and the photographers further complicated it by taking the shots at random, and a few from the back side of the farin'' so that the contest will be jpore interesting and require more skill. The pilot flew about .300 miles back and forth across the trade area of the Rappahannock News , while taking the photefe wit^ professional aerial photo equipment. ‘
In publishing the series of farm ” . photos, this newspaper is recognizing fanning as the big business that it is today_...big in investment in land, machinery, livestock and 4 buildings. The pictures are a tribute to agriculture, in this communitv.
