AMELIA SCHOOL CHILDREN are becoming more lunch-conscious as the result of special empha sis being placed upon nutrition by an Amelia county committee. Elementary school fifth grade 4-H club members presented a - kit on the seven basic fcods at an Amelia P-TA meeting.

In rcjcent studiet made in Ap pomattox and Montgomery coun ties, only one fourth of the pop ulation was found t o be maintainin' an adequate die' One fourth was seriously under nourished, and the other half was not receiving adequate nourish ment. A group of leaders in Amelia met last Augur st and decided to do something about local nutri tion standards. The first step was formation of a county nutrition committee. On the commit tee me Mrs. R.
