- Farmers having pigs (from quality sows farrowing between March 15 and April 1, as result of service from a purebred boar) which will be for sale at weaning age (8 to 10) weeks please notify the county agent’s office. Indications are that a good number of high quality pigs will be needed as 4-H club projects to start in May. During the past three years it has proven very difficult to find high quality pigs for 4-H members planning to sell at the Orange Junior Fat Swine Show and Sale. Generally speaking our boys have been doing just as good a job as those from any other county When it comes to fitting and showmanship, however, more quality, usually a result of good blood, is needed if we are to improve our
