One can’t pick up a paper without being impressed with the effort the people of our country are making to know and understand the people of other lands.
Our young people exchange gifts and letters and go to school wtih students from around the globe. They compete in great
sports events^ exchange places in the class room and in the factories.
Our older citizens meet their foreign age group in business and government and both young and old mingle with their neighbors across the sea in the great religious organizations of the world. We all help to roll out the "Red Carpet” and we take each other in!
One of the first, if not the first Chinamen to make his home in this section was Let; Wah, who for many years ran a laundry (and a good one) in Front Royal.
He did his work well, had a fine sense of humor, was a good soort and was generally liked in Warren and Rappahannock counties.
He had a story about a visit to Rappahannock that he loved to tell—never failed to tell—between spasms of laughter, to everyone from Rappahannock that visited his laundry .It has been said that everybody took Lee Wah his laundry just to hear him tell his story.

“Bies Shots have much good land, big cattle, fine “op’ple” orchards, he! he! Big Shots vite Lee Wah over—Lee Wah go. I.ee Wah hired big automobile to ride to Lapnahannock to see Big Shots. Fin* Gentlemen with much good land, fine cattle, big oonle orchards he! he! he! Big Shot took Lee Wah to Buzzard's Roost, funny name he! he! he!
