A Maternal an<£ Child Health Clinic Is held at the Rappahannock Co. Health Department the 2nd and 4th Thursday of each month. The purpose of these clinics is to emphasize the advantages of prenatal, infant and child care and to educate the public to the. need tfor and advantages of adequate medical care.

These clinics provide pregnancy care, infant and child health supervision for people who are not able to get this necessary medical supervision from their private factor. Pregnancy care includes medical supervision to pregnant women before delivery and after delivery. The patient is referred to the physician of her choice for delivery. She can come back to the dinit for tneddai supervision and advice after delivery.

Immunizations and vacqpat&ns against smallpox, poliomyelitis, dir phtheria, whooping cough, lockjaw and other diseases are also available at these clinics.
