Mrs. Roy Swindler entertained . at dinner Friday evening in honor of her nephew S/sgt. James E. Swindler and his bride Mrs. Swindler. Guests included Mr. and Mrs. A. Lee Swindler, Bill Swindler, Mr. and Mrs. J. Randolph Devers, Buddy Devers and Mr. and Mrs. James. Way Land.

guests Saturday evening ( of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Schaefer "were Mrs. Elizabeth Hayes and daughter Barrie Hayes and Robert Lewis of Warrenton. Miss Edna Yates Schaefer spent several days last week with Miss Hayes.

S/Sgt. and Mrs. James Swindler who have been spending two weeks with Mr. and Mrs. A. Lee Swindler left on Tuesday for Salem, Mass. They were accompanied home by Mrs. Swindler and Robert Estes who will be their guests for the remainder of the week. S/Sgt Swindler -leaves early next week for duty in Japan and Mrs. Swindler will join him March 1.

Mr. and Mrs. Joseph B. Johnson were guests on Wednesday of Mr. and Mrs. W. I. Henson in Front Royal.

Mr. and Mrs. J. Shrewsberry of Charleston, W. Va. spent from Friday to Sunday with their sonin-law and daughter. Rev. and Mrs Edwin Nicholson.

Mrs. Fred Schaefer and daughter Sue spent Wednesday in Annandale with Rev. and Mrs. J. R. Frizzell.

Col. and Mrs. Charles King were dinner guests on Sunday of Mr. and Mrs. R. E. Wood.

Frances Bruce returned to VMI after spending the holidays with h' mether Mrs. Helen Bruce.

Mr. and Mrs. C. E. Johnson, Jr. are spending several days this week at Old Point Comfort.

Lt. C. E. Johnson, III, who spent the holidavs with his parents Mr. and Mrs. C. E. Johnson, Jr. returned to Fort Knox Thursday. Miss Betty Johnson returned to Duke University Sunday.

J. W. Brown S.A., U.S. Navy, who is stationed in Norfolk has ret rned to his base after spending Christmas with his parents Mr. an-1 Mrs. William J. Brown.
