Minister to Mexico. The National Intelligencer says that, on Thurs day, the name of Hon. Lewis D. Campbell, of Ohio, was sent to the Senate for confirmation as Minister to the Republic of Mexico. Mr. Caxpbkm. is well known as having been for a long time a member of Congress, in which body he held repeatedly the important posi tion of Chairman of the Committee of Ways and Means.
