Kebtucbt.—The Louisville Journal, advert- ■ ing to the final adoption of the constitutional amendment abolishing slavery, says that it lifts a great burthen from the shoulders of Kentucky. It settles for that State the ques tion which it could not settle for itself, and re lieves it of the embarrassment occasioned by the conflict between its laws touching the slave and the Federal authority.
