There will be a Forestry Confeience st>npso: ed by the Vocational Agriculture Department of Carver Regional High School in co-operation with the Virginia Forestry Service, April 4, Tuesday, starting at 9 a.m., in the auditorium of the school.
The program will consist of a movie and a discussion on:
Preventing Forest Fires
General Forestry
Thinning and Improvement Cutting of Short Leaf Pine
Demonstration of Reforestation of cut over timber land on H. Gordon Lig’ntfoot farm, located 2 miles south of Winston on U.S. 522 in Ciripeper county.
All farmers are urged to attend and learn the latest information on forestry practices.
