More than 1900 inspection stations and 8000 certified mechanics await 850,000 motorists for the semi-annual motor vehicle inspection period which will continue through June 15, was the. announcement of Col. C. W. Woodson, Jr., Superintendent of State Poliee and Executive Chairman of the Governor’s Highway Safety Committee.
Colonel Woodson stated emphatically that there can be no extension of the deadline date and urged motorists to visit 4he stations of their choice as soon as possible to avoid last-minute congestion and temporary exclusion of their vehicles from the roads pending inspection.
