The school board has not held a meeting for the appointment of teachers for the session 1950-51. At the last meeting of the board, appointments of high school teachers could not be made because all classes had not been scheduled. A list of teachers cannot be published until teachers have stated .whether er not tjjey wish to return and until contracts have been issued.
Cancer Drive Falls Short
As the cancer fund drive enters its final stages the quota of $500 has not yet been reached. Donaare
still coming in, and it is not too late to send in your contribution to Mrs. Charles T. Bruce of Washington, Va.
Mrs. H. C. Marwick, 'county chairman hopes that these final contributions will put us over the top, and wishes to thank the district chairmen and other workers for their splendid co-operation and hard work for this drive.
