Mrs. Colleen« Collect, who for the past 1.1 years served as home service advisor for tht Northen Virginia Power Company in this area, has retired from active serice with the utility company. Her retirement became effectivt Septerber 1.
Mrs. Colleettt had served *21 yuers with the company, all in the home se.rvict department.
She joined the utility organization in 1934 as a homee lighting recpresenative in L o na c on i n g, Maryland. In 1942, she transferred to Keyser, West Virginia in that same capacity.
In 1944, Mrs. Collett was appointed home service advisor, toi the Keyser area. She moved to Luray in 1946, serving as home service advisor f o r the utility company's Southern District, with headquarttrs in Luray. She held that post until her retirement.
In addition to her home service duties, M rs. Collett served a s Southern District reporter for the utility's etmployet publication.
A native of Parsons, West Virginia, Mrs. Collett hhas taken up leesidence in Portsmouth, Virginia.
