A fellow rushed in with the doctor’s prescription in bi» hand. “The wife is pretty sick, he told me as he watched me work. "Sure hope this medicine will help her,” he said. Nice fellow. That doctor who came to the house,” he went on.
“Nerer knew this store was open this late, cept the doctor told me. Sure glad that the drug store doesn’t close at six like most of the stores Don t know what I’d a done if you had been closed," he said, as he grabbed the small package and dashed for the door.
He came hack a few day later to thank me or, rather to pay me. In his haste, he had forgotten. We chatted quite a while. It turns out he s a real nice fellow, and we’re going to be good friends.
