Private Ma^us E. Armentrout son of Mr. and Mrs. F. R. Armentrout, Woodville, Virginia has been assigned to Company B, 6th Batallion, 2nd. Training Rrgement at Fort Jack on for his basic infantry training. J
Upon his arrival at Fort Jackson, he was initially assigned to the U. S. Army Personnel Center where he was issued his clothing, given a complete physical examination and ,a comprehensive battery of aptitude tests determine the Army duty assignment for which he will be best fitted. •
During ' his basic training he will be instruction such subjects as military courtesy, first aid and personal hygiene. 1
J^tJpon completion of his basic training, he will receive further advanced infantry training or will be assigned to an Army school. Fort Jackson offers schooling in several specialties associated -with an Army division.
Fort Jackson is one of the country’s largest Infantry Training Centers and also conducts a program of training for men under the provisions of the Reserve Forces Act of 1955. .
