Mrs. w. \v. McClintic was elected t"> serve a two-year term as president of the Woman's Auxiliary of the Southside Com munity HosDital at the annual meeting. Friday afternoon. In addition to election of of ficers. reports of work accomp lished at the hospital by the auxi liary were given. Mrs. W. K. Carter was elected treasurer at the meeting, and Mrs. Charles L. Baird was re-elected secretary. The Barnett Unit. Negro wo men's unit, reported that it had raised S450 for a new heated food wagon. The new wagon arrived at the hospital, last week. It will be used on the third floor. Miss Anna Dickoff, retiring president, gave a summary report of the 25 years since the auxiliary was organized. During this time, members have spent over $2"'.000 for linens and for upkeep of the hospital grounds—two chief pro jects of the group. Other units reporting at the an nual meeting were Anderson White. Gills, and Holladay. Plans were made for continuing the plan of Sunday hostesses at the hospital. J. S. Stubbs, super intendent. commended the auxi liary for this helpful project. Alumnae of Alpha Sigma Alpha sorority have assisted in the hos tess project. Members decided at the meet ing to* set Thursday as a day for se"ing and mending at the hos pital. Women are urged to come at 10 a. m. It was announced that lunch may be eaten at the hos pital's cafeteria. Sewing will bo continued each Thursday a-, long as it is needed. All auxiliary members were urged to attend the annual meet ing of the Southside Community Hospital Association. Jan. 27. at 8 p. m. Hospital Association Will Report Jan. 27 In Circut Courtroom The annual meeting of the Southside Community Hospital Association lias been called for 8 p. m . Tuesday. Jan. 27. in the Circuit courtroom of the court house. President W. S. Weaver and Secretary J. S. Stubbs invite citizens to attend this meeting for a report of hospital activities in 1952.
