H Friend High, a perennial power m District 4. , The scrappy Friend five put up more of a fight than anticipated during the inter-district tussle be tween the schools which have re presented the districts at the state tournament the past four years. The Wolverines came from be hind a first period one-point de ficit to take a 27 to 22 half-time lead. They increased it to a 12 point lead go^pg into the final quarters, when Friend suddenly came to life with strong rebound ing and shooting. For Fa-mville it was the seventh straight victory. Eddie Thornton contributed 20 points ta keep up his fine scoring pace, while Clyde Shelton hit for 14 to follow in the point-getting department.
