of the Department of Internal Revenue has been hailed with enthusiasm. Mr: Andrews served Virginia well by reorganizing the fiscal machinery when he was State Audi tor. lie served on the Hoover commission in its study of government reorganization. His1 integrity as a public official and his record as an accountant restore public con fidence in the important Internal Revenue department. Proven and unproven charges against high officials in this department during the Truman administration shook public confidence in a governmental func tion which should be beyond question in integrity. We are glad Mr. Eisenhower chose a Virginian and believe he made a wise choice in T. Coleman Andrews. The more we learn of the president-elect’s appointments our confidence in his ability increases.
