Powhatan Ruritan Committees Set Aim Reduce War Ruiiding: Debt The regular monthly meeting of Powhatan Ruritan Club was held at the War Memorial Build ing on Wednesday. Dec. 14. at 7 p. m. Ladies of Providence Presbyterian church served din ner. Committee Chairmen. with iheir committee members, were announced by Allen "Coon" Brauer. the new president. The club approved payment for sev eral nairs of glasses for school children who are not able to pay for them. This has been a proj ect of the club for several years. Big objective of the club for the year is to sponsor payment of the balance of the indebtedness on the War Memorial Building. Five committees headed by ' Hank" Hancock. "Siim' Knabe. "Esso" Martin, "Dinkey” Yates, and "Pinkcy" Parker have been set up to carry through this proj ect. Monthly reports will be enter ed on a special chart which has been prepared.
