As soon .as the rain subsided to a steady downpour the rest of the Ben.it left the house and began erecting their shelter for the night. By 11 p.m. the camp was set up and in os' of the groins hid fires going with supper underway. They used dehydrated trail ra tions foi the entire trip Saturday broke early on the drenched camn and a n.-wk, cold wind dried while it cooled. The second day of the hike i Saturday i was long but interest ing as the explorers trudged down the old stage "toll gate" road now Route 638 Thev missed Sheppards.
