From the end of 1956, it looks as if Virginia farm prices might settle into their normal seasonal ups and downs during 1957, and with some notable exceptions, be close to 1956 levels.
Slaughter rattle probably will return to their traditional AprilMay'peak missed in 1956 when heavy marketings kept prices from ever getting off the ground.
First half of 1957 probably will not bring much improvement until after March, and even in AnrilMav prices probably will be short of the-1955 levels.
