Word from C-P. McCJaugherty, Supervisor, Livestock Section, State Division of Markets, advises the new ruling; adopted as result of consensus of buyers, packets, market operators etc., whereby buck lambs will be sold separately from ewe and weather lambs “will become effective June 1, 1958 and continue without Interruption thereafter.” All spring lamb producers were advised early in tbjfe year that this change was coming.
Let a word to the wise be Sufficient ... if you have newly bom lambs, or lambs yet to be born, get them docked and castrated, before they are two weeks of age.
