J. Rodes Brown, Jr, of Char* lottesville, ha* been elected exfccu| live vice-president of the Augusta National Bank and Trust Company in Staunton, Virginia. Mr Brown,who has been with the National Bank and Trust Company of Charlottesville, will assume his new position January 1.
A native of Sperryville, he attended the University of Richmond. During World War II he was attached to the Eighth Air Force flying out of England. He was shot down over Germany in 1944 and spent nine months in a prisoner of war camp. .+• p Bmwn served as deputy- county treasurer in Rappahannock county, as cashier of the Rappahannock National Bank for six years, and .has been assistant cashier and assistant vice-president of the Ch*rotresville bank for four years.
Mr. Brown married Miss Margaret Thornton of Sperryville and they have two daughters, Susan 7 and Margaret 5. <
