Farmers are reminded by the United States I>partmenf of Agriculture that Mandt 31, 1959 is the closing date for die 1958 wool ’ program. . The wool program is conducted ; under the National Wool Act of 1954. Payments are made to producers as an incentive to increase v wool production. The program is administered ' by the Agriculture ,. Stabilization'! and Conservation * (ASC) Committees. i

M. C. Gore, Couny Office manager of the Rappahannock ASC Committee, stated that any producer who sold shorn wool or unshorn lambs during the period April 1, 1958 through March 31, 1959 is eligible to receive payment if he timely files his application by March 31, 1959. Many farmers ‘ are lagging in making applications for payment and we urged you to apply at the AS£ office at an early <kte-so that the matter will not be overlooked.
