When it crimes to buying a R«ci ord of Performance bull'there are two limitations I require, namely, never select a R.O.P. bull with (1) a type index of 11 or lower nor with a daily rate of gain lower than 1.8 lbs. that is either while on its dam or on feed teat. In my opinion, a feeder calf producer should keep above these limitations depending upon the quality and growth rate of the calves he is getting from his cows*
Bulls to be included in this year’s sale with records above these limitations are: Angus.lots 32, 40, 49, 31 and 37. (the first three being the better ones) ; Herefords... lots24 and 19 in this order; Shorthorn_lot 5. ;

On the following day the, R.O.P. bulls will be sold at Culpeper Enterprises. I have seen these bulls and as a group they are as nice as any I’ve seen assembled. Complete summary of their performance ia expected to be received by publication of this article.
