To Hold Carnival
Amissville Firemen will open their annual carnival Wednesday, August 16. ilt will continue Thursday, Friday and Saturday, August 17, 18 and 19.
A feature parade will be held on Thursday evening starting at 6:30 p.m EST.- Entries include fire equipment, marching units, Ladies Auxiliaries, Majorettes and bands, to name just a few.
The food stand will offer a; plate supper following the parade and the usual good coffee, hamburgers, hot dogs, cake, etc. will also be available.
A Queen will be crowned on Friday night from among the bevy of young ladies competing for the title of Miss Amissville.
Each evening games, rides, food and prizes are to be had. There’s fun for all ages, the whole family, and so many friends to visit.
The grand prize will be given away Saturday evening and the carnival season in Rappahannock will close for another year.
