I received several calls from family
and friends referencing an article written by Larry Oliver Sr., of Amissville. in the Nov. tJ edition of the Kappahannock News. The article was titled. “Today's sports are the downfall of today's youth*
I want to publicly thank Mr. Oliver lor being so bold and courageous in writing the article. It has inspired me to respond to our own downfalls of today.
As we all see. hear and read about our country's economy we wonder what has gone wrong. We are or wen* the leudtng nation on earth. We have heard all kinds of reasons why our economy is failing i.e.. Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac; mortgages bankers creative financing and approving loans for families above tneir capabilities; auto industries' top heavy management; our energy dependence on foreign oil; our medical care has gotten out of control; our federal, state and local governments are no longer representing the people. We can go on and on with acquisitions.
