Mr. and Mr*. William Johnaon and friends of Baltimore, Mrs. Mable Spriell of ashington, Dc. were Sunday evening guests of Mr. and Mrs. Lewi* Fletcher. Later in the afternoon, Mr. and Mrs., Lewis Fletcher and granddaughter, Margaret, motored with ' them to New Jersey and New York to spend Labor Day. Mr. and Mrs. Fletcher and granddaughter returned home Tuesday morning.
Mrs. Cornelius Perry and Mr., Dave Nuttus arrived in the home of Mr. and Mrs. Will Timbers, 1 Tuesday. Mr*. Perry will spend a week with her parents and Mrs. Nuttus will return to Maryland tomorrow. 1 Mrs. Carolyn Carter visited her sister-in-law, Mrs. Mary Coleman in Warren ton last Friday, whose son and daughter-inlaw, Mr. ahd Mrs. Walter'Coleman and three children, Walter, Jr., Celestine and Diana were visiting her from Braddock,' Pa. They returned home with Mrs. Carter, Friday evening, and had dinner.
Mr. and Mrs. Joaeph S. Holland have returned home after •pending some time with their son-in-law and daughter, Rev. and Mrs. Ellis Turner.
Mrs. Jennie Poles has returned to Philadelphia after spending some time with Mrs. Havanna Jeffries and friend. Week-end guests of Mrs. Havanna Jeffries were Mr. and Mrs. Frank Grigsby and daughter, Cecelia of New York and Mr. and Mrs. Pomroy Brown of Washington, D. C. ~ A/lc William Morris Grigsby is bade home after spending four years in the Air Force.
Bessie Freeman, Dudley and Robert Freeman have returned to Plainfield, New Jersey after spending some time with their mother, Mrs. Alice Porter. — The Carver Regional High School won first place band honors in the Gordonsville Firemen’s Labor Day parade.
Miss Louise Freeman is leaving today for Washington for a 2weeks visit with her sister.
