There are many stories of Christmas, but few have had greater appeal than the circumstances which led to the writing of “Yes, Virginia, There is a Santa Claus” by Francis P. Church, which the New York Sun published in 1897. We are happy to reprint this editorial as well as the letter which inspired it.
