The members of the O. R. Johnson NFA Chapter of the Carver Regional High School elected and installed their officers for the ensuing year during the regular ' weekly meeting. 1 he offers are as follows: William Carter, .president; Samuel Lee. vice president; Jerry- Ferguson, secretary; Richard Frye, treasurer; John Carter, "reporter; Carroll Slaughter, watch man Yancy Mill, historian; Wade Frye, parliamentarian; Clark Carpenter, chaplain and Robert Turner, song leader. Civic and leadership training was exercised in the election. The candidates were nominated a month prior to the election. lTtev wei> given ample time and opportunity to campaign for election. These activities along with the writted ballot form of voting created much interest among the members.

There wil be a Christmas tree and program at the Hopewell Baptist Church, Sperryville, December 25 at 8 p.m.. sponsored bv the Sunday School. The public is invited.

The Hopewell Missionary Circle is sponsoring a chicken dinner and quilt raffle at trhe home of the hte Mrs. Frank Fitzhugh. Friday. December 20 at p.m. ■-until. Come one. ’come all.
