Parrish, local Soil Conservation Div trict Supervisor. The ten year old tanist is a fifth vra/ler at Sperry-** ville and the son of Mr. and Mrs. George L. Taylor;

This student ran off with the' Rappahannock County honors: and th*. Culpeper Soil Conservation District blue ribbon before placing first in the State competition. The Culn'-’er Soil Conservation Dis-, trict 'ompfises the counties of Rap** bannock, Culpeper. Orange, Mad on an<f Greene. John Lee was "warded for winning the District Elementary contest at the Conservation ! Rally held during Virginia Natural Resources Conservation Week celebration itr Culpeper .

Mr. I. L. Parrish presented* John Le^ with a check for $25.00 during the assembly of the entire student body last. Tuesday afternoon at Sperry ville. This amount runs his winnings to $32.00 as result of entering the poster contest, When asked what he thought about everybody helping to eon* serve our vital natural resources, • John Lee excitedly commented that everybody should learn .about conservation slnd that all farmers should practice it on their farms.
