1. Be it resolved that by and under the authority granted under Section 46-64 of the code of Vir7' ginia of 1950, as amended, the County Rappahannock, in the State of Virginia, hereby charges a license fee on all motor vehicles, except vehicles used by a- dealer or manufacturer for sales/ purposes
and vehicles used as common carriers of persons or property operated between cities or towns in ■> this state and not in intercity transportation, or between cities and towns on the one hand and r points and places without cities and towns on the other and - not intercity transportation. This said license is imposed upon every mot1 or vehicle, including but not limited to, automobiles, truck* and .motorcycles regularly housed of «tored in the county and used or intended to be regularly operated upon the highways in the county.
2. The cost of such license shall be Ten Dollars ($10.00) for each automobile and Ten Dollars < $10.00) for each motor truck of P’ckup. and Three Dollars, f$3.00) for each motorcycle. Thtr licenses shall be ourchased from the office of the Treasurer of the - County. , /
3. The revenue derived from all County motor vehicles licensed • under this law Shall be applied to general county purposes.
4. No svich license shall be re- quired by th County-upon vehicles owned by persons who are residents of an incorporated town, in the event that the- said town hn- ■ noses'such a license or. similar tax or lew upon vehicles of residents thereof.
