Mrs. Calfee Dies In

Gordonsville

\ Mrs Berkley G. Calfee, 82, honorary president t>f the Virginia Division of the United Daughters of the Confederacy, died Sunday at a Gordonsville hospital.

Funeral services were, held at 4:00 p. m. Tuesday at St. Stephens Church in Culpeper.

Mrs. Calfee, widow of Monroe _ '• Howard Calfee, was president of the Culpeper chapter of the U. D. C. and had been honorary president of the state organization for several years.

A native of Culpeper county, , Mrs. Calfee was"for many years a member of the staff of The Virgin. ia Star, a local weekly newspaper, and more recently had been a columnist for the Culpeper Star-Exponent She was a local genealogist and historian.

She'. is survived by two sisters, Mrs. D. J. Coleman of Culpeper and Mrsf,x Herndon B Frazier of St. Albans,^. Va.
