Twenty of Virginia's counties are now “Modified Certified Brucellosos (Bang’s) Free Areas.” They are: Bland, Buchannon, Charles City, Craig, Cumberland, Hampton, King William,. Lee, Mathews. Norfolk, Northampton, Northumberland, Middlesex, Princess Anne, Richmond, Warwick, Estmoreland, Wise and York.
At the request of our Extension Livestock Committee, Magisterial District Committees are being established to contact all herd owners who have not had herd tests since January 1, 1957 Committees already set up and functioning are for Hawthorne Rodes Brown, Jim Yates, Irv Wolfe, and Brown Miller; for Stonewall; Raymond Johnson, Weldon Burke, Earl Combs, Gordon Thornhill and Ray Cannon; for Piedmont; Lucio ' Kilby, Roy Atkins, Thomas Taylor, J. T. Dwyer, Luther Jenkins, Ned Johnson and “Dodge” Black.
