Essay Contest
For the fim time, this year the ninth grader of .Rappahannock County High School entered the con' teat in their English class for writing an essay on “The Fight Against Tuberculosis," sponsored by the Front Royal-Warren Tuberculosis Association (serving Rappahanock.)
The winners are: 1st. place $5.00 Shirley Gayle Brown; 2nd, place $2.50 Betty Deal, with My-\ rla Ann Updike receiving Honor- \ able Mention.
The judges w«e Mrs. C. G, Hookey, Jr. Mrs.' E. W. Wilion Morrison and Mr, F. Brent Sandidge.
This is a part of the program of the tuberculosis association to stimulate an interest in eradicating TB in connection with the usual courses of study.
