The Board of Supervisors of Rappahannock County, Virginia, at its regular' meeting held ju the County Court House inWashington, Virginia, on June 4th, 1958, directed the advertisement in the manner prescribed' by law of die following ordinance at its next regular meeting to be held at the Rappahannock County Courthouse on July 2l 1958, at 10:00 o’clock A. M, totwit:

BE IT ORDAINED by the Board of Supervisors of Rappahannock County, Virginia, that the following ordinance be passed and . ordained: ■ ■ ■ ■ Vi *

THAT THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF RAPPAHANNOCK COUNTY, doth impose a county recordation tax in an amount equal to one-third of ; the amoujnt of the State recordation tax collectable for the State on the first recordation of each taxable instrument; provided, no tax. shall be imposed under this ordinance upon any instrument in which the State! recordation tax is fifty

cents specifically, and provided further, Ithat where a deed or other instrument conveys, covers or relates, to property located partly in Rappahannock County and partly in another or city, or in other counties or cities, the tax imposed igunder thit} authority of this ordinance shall be computed only with respect to the property located in Rappahannock County.

The'Clerk of the Circuit Court of Rappahannock County collect* ing the fax imposed under this ordinance jshall pay the same in to the Treasury of Rappahannock County. Sijch compensation shall be paid ouf of the county treasury, provided! the Clerk shall make any charge f|>r his services in collecting said taxi

The Effective date of this ordinance shalil be the first moment of

1958.
